Spitfire and Hurricane Battle of Britain experience
Two people take to the skies in the aircraft that formed the backbone of RAF Fighter Command in the summer of 1940, and the winners of the Battle of Britain - the Spitfire and the Hurricane. One guest will fly in the two-seat Spitfire, and the other in the two-seat Hurricane. This is a 30 minute experience and you’d best keep your eyes peeled and look out for the “hun in the sun” because at some point during your flight you will be “bounced” by the enemy, an Me109 (Hispano Buchon) and engage in a mock dogfight scenario getting you as close as it is reasonably possible to be to the battle that raged in the skies above England in the summer of 1940…
Prize is for two people to fly and up to four guests each on the day. Voucher expires September 2024. Provided by the Aerial Collective, Duxford, and Hurricane Heritage. Flights operated by Aerial Collective from Duxford. Height and weight restrictions apply. Includes film footage.

Ray Hanna is a legend of aviation, flying under the bridge in “A Piece of Cake”, nearly taking Alain de Cadenet’s head off, his pass down the Goodwood finishing straight, the list goes on… Sarah Hanna has donated one of Ray’s flying jackets, a well-worn B15. Certified authentic, and with his name handwritten on the label, this is a very rare collector piece.

Irvin Jacket, helmet and goggles of Peter Tickner, 181 sqn Typhoon pilot
A fantastic opportunity to own a real piece of history. Irvin jackets come and go, but finding an early war (1940!) wearable example is rare. For it to have belonged to a Typhoon pilot who flew on D-Day itself is rarer still. To have a story behind the artwork on the back, even rarer. For it to come with his flying helmet (an early C-type in a size 3) and MkVII goggles, is even rarer. This is unheard of for us. The previous owner flew Hurricane, Spitfire, Mustang, Typhoon, Tempest, and others during the course of WWII.
We would very much like for this jacket to be worn in RB396 when she flies, and will discuss this with the successful bidder.

“Top Gun” flight experience for two at Ultimate High, Goodwood
Fly Air Combat and Aerobatics - yourself! Your ex-military flying instructor will demonstrate close formation flying in the T67 Firefly aircraft; you fly some aerobatic manoeuvres to acclimatise you to the g-force, and then you will be introduced to tail chasing and air combat against your opponent.
Manoeuvre your aeroplane to get on the bad guy’s tail. Once you’re in a firing position, squeeze the trigger - “GUNS GUNS GUNS!!”. If you’re successful in shooting down the bandit, then it’s an obligatory cheer of “Yeehah, Jester’s dead” and back to the airfield for a flyby of the tower – assuming, of course, that the pattern is not full...!
This is not a simulator and is not available anywhere else in the UK!

Full motion flight simulator experience
Fancy flying into the old Kai Tak airport, or buzzing the tower at London Gatwick, legally? Or just having the opportunity to get as close to flying a modern airliner as it is possible, without a licence? A four hour Boeing 737 full motion flight simulator experience using the exact same simulators that commercial pilots use to train, retrain and be tested. You will be joined by current airline pilots from TUI, and what’s more, you will have a former RED ARROWS pilot as your copilot, or if you ask him nicely, to show you how it’s done.

Half day visit to 29sqn and display practice
Group visit to 29sqn at RAF Coningsby, the home of the Eurofighter Typhoon display team. To take place in Spring 2024, the D-Day 80th anniversary year, you will visit the squadron, get up close and personal with a jet, visit the sim, meet the team and get front row seats as “Turbo” the 2024 season display pilot conducts one of his “work up” practices. You might even be one of the first to see the jet’s new paint scheme, which, if Turbo gets his way, will have more than a little in common with RB396…
